European projects with the participation of Crowdpolicy

“PROMETHEUS”, EIT HEI Initiative — Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education, aiming to boost innovation and entrepreneurship in the domains of Digital Transformation, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development. More information: https://hei-prometheus.eu/

“INFINITECH”, which is funded by the EU through the Horizon 2020 program, as an EU flagship project on Fintech, and is a joint effort of 48 technology companies, fintech and research institutes from all over Europe to utilize disrupting BigData / IoT / AI technologies and implement innovative pilot applications in fintech and insurtech. Crowdpolicy’s role in this project is mainly related to supporting technology development actions as well as project pilots.

Crowdpolicy also participated in the implementation of two more projects which were recently completed.

In particular, Crowdpolicy participated as a crowdfunding expert partner in the “BLUE crowdfunding” project, a European Territorial Cooperation Program Interreg MED 2014–2020, entitled “Development of skills of the actors of blue economy for the effective use of participatory funding”. Moreover, Crowdpolicy participated in the “InNOMSME project, which was co-funded by national and European resources (EPAnEk 2014–2020 and the European Regional Development Fund) and aimed to promote innovation in SMEs, in Greece and Germany, through the collection, analysis and use of business data. Crowdpolicy’s initiatives and participation in other co-financed actions

In addition to the above, Crowdpolicy continues the implementation of the research project “Support to the Operation of the Regional Observatory for Social Inclusion of the South Aegean”, which is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Operational Program of South Aegean 2014–2020. In this context, in 2021, it carried out the largest socio/economic field research to date on the islands of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese and successfully continues the research process for the 2nd year in a row, having already completed research on several islands. Furthermore, Crowdpolicy led the initiative for the creation of the first Fintech Cluster in Greece, the Greek Fintech Cluster that already consists of 12 members, with the aim of providing members and the wider fintech ecosystem with the appropriate resources and know-how, which will allow them to respond to the challenges and opportunities of this field, nationally and internationally. More information: https://fintech.net.gr/ The project is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Another initiative of Crowdpolicy is Govhack, the 1st Innovation Center for Digital Transformation in Public Administration, consisting of 13 members. It is a single network of innovation and entrepreneurship whose purpose is to enhance and promote know-how and new good practices of digital governance in order to modernize Public Administration and Local Government. The project has been included in the Action “Capacity Centers” and is co-funded by the ERDF and domestic resources. More information: https://govhack.gr/

Govhack has already taken the first steps to develop innovative interventions in the field of public administration. As part of this effort, Crowdpolicy is a partner of the project ENTREpreneurial skills in the PUBLic sector: a digital approach (ENTREPUBL) aimed at the development of entrepreneurial skills in the public sector in Europe. ENTREPUBL is funded by the Erasmus+ program and supported by 8 partners active in the academic, business, non-profit and public sectors in Europe.

Crowdpolicy’s actions are part of a broader effort to create strategic partnerships. For instance, we have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of the Aegean with which we are partners in a number of mutual projects and for which we have developed the “Aegean Startups Platform — Digital Academic Accelerator of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Actions with Social Impact for the Aegean Islands”. Also, in the field of AI Chatbot, Crowdpolicy has started a Strategic Partnership with Viber.

Finally, Crowdpolicy has implemented the VISA Innovation Program for 4 consecutive years (https://www.crowdpolicy.com/innovation-program/) for VISA International and is a member of the Eurocrowd — European Crowdfunding Network. More information: https://www.crowdpolicy.com/innovation-program/
