The Pythia project aims to:

  • create good practice at Greek and international level, as through the support and promotion of open solutions, it strengthens the competitiveness and extroversion of businesses,
  • achieve equal services for all citizens,
  • increase accessibility to innovative communication & transaction processing services with the public or private sector,
  • upgrade services and utilize capital more effectively through applications in sectors of the economy (tourism, retail, public administration).

“The project, with code T2ΔK — 01921, is implemented within the framework of the Action “RESEARCH — CREATE — INNOVATE” of the Special Service for the Management and Implementation of Actions in the Research and Innovation Sectors (EYΔE EK), with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and national resources through the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation (EPAnEK)”. The project is coordinated by the University of the Aegean (Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering/ Information Systems Laboratory) with other partners being the University of Patras (Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics/ Distributed Systems and Telematics Laboratory), the National Bank of Greece, the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems, Crowdpolicy, International Publications Ltd. (GTP) and SoftOne Technologies.

The collaborating entities of the Pythia project are fully active in the research and innovation ecosystem, and demonstrate the necessary entrepreneurial potential and research excellence to highlight and exploit new opportunities in the Greek and global economy. Their partnership in the context of the project is a comparative advantage to foster new good practices as it contributes to the mobilization of a broader innovation ecosystem to develop targeted know-how development and diffusion actions. This partnership is expected to promote the results of the project in the market, to increase business opportunities, and to produce results that the research community can utilize, seeking synergies with potential stakeholders.
